Yoga-2-Go Pink

Yoga-2-Go Pink, aka Yoga-2-Go for the Pink Ribbon Campaign for the Breast Cancer Foundation, is happening this MAY 2021!!!

We’re doing our bit, come along and support this great cause … We’ve got two Yoga-2-Go Pink classes on offer, one in Hamilton’s CBD on Thursday 13 May at 6:30 am and one in Te Kowhai on Friday 14 May also at 6:30am. This is a great opportunity to gift yourself some self care and support an amazing cause. So, book now and get pink!

The Cause

The Breast Cancer Foundation helps so many people in New Zealand, not just women, but families and communities who are all touched by this disease. The BCF funds research and provides information and support to people effected by Breast Cancer. The Pink Ribbon Campaign is the BCF’s major fundraising campaign. If we all do our bit, we can beat this thing.

Kate explains Yoga-2-Go Pink

Yoga-2-Go is supporting the Pink Ribbon Campaign by putting on these two classes as large format classes (usually we’re small group). Tickets are just $15 each (that’s great value for a casual yoga class!) and Yoga-2-Go is donating all proceeds to the Breast Cancer Foundation. There will also be an optional add-on to grab a video of the live class for an additional donation. Plus, bring some cash on the morning as we will have some Pink Ribbon merch available for sale!

The Yoga

The class will be aimed at beginners, but challenging enough for Yoga-2-Go regulars to enjoy. Yoga-2-Go is moving and dynamic (the trick’s in the name!) and may feel quite strong, so be prepared to work! Don’t be intimidated, though, because you will be able to achieve a lot by working the techniques and where you get to is actually irrelevant to your “success”. I say, “work your own range of movement” so often that regulars in my class say it spontaneously!!!!

Wear comfortable work out clothes, bring a yoga mat and something to pull over yourself to stay warm while we do the relaxation (so usually some socks and your sweatshirt is fine).

We typically settle in with some back care to bring with. We’ll then work through techniques to help with what we put our bodies and minds through in this crazy modern, western world. We’ll finish with a guided relaxation. This class will warm you up, stretch out your strength and help you take yourself to where you want to be! I would love to see new people taking this opportunity to give yoga a go!
